Student to use computers in exams

BY CHRIS PERSAUD

Beginning in the fall semester, 2000, the University of Miami School of Law will begin allowing students in certain upper-level classes to take their exams on computers. The courses in which students will be offered this option are Bankruptcy 110A, taught by Professor Halpert, Comparative Law 304A, taught by Professor Rosenn, European Community Law 325A, taught by Professor Bradley, Housing Discrimination 229A, taught by Professor Fajer, International Law 314A, taught by Professor Langbein, Law of the Sea 318A, taught by Professor Oxman, and National Security Law 238A, taught by Professor Schinasi. All these classes were chosen in part because they were fairly low-enrollment courses, and so the additional demand upon computing resources created by the final exams will not be too great.  Continued.
